How do NCP panel members feel about the Super Bowl? In a recent poll on our panel member website we asked, “What’s your favorite part of the Super Bowl?” Here’s how our panel members responded:
The game 25%
The halftime show 9%
The commercials 28%
I don’t watch it 38%
Looks like our panel members enjoy watching the game (well, at least 62% of the respondents do!).
The Super Bowl is big business, not just for the teams involved and the NFL, but for retailers and bars/restaurants, too. According to the latest consumer spending data from NRF and Prosper Insights & Analytics’ 2023 Super Bowl survey, 192.9 million U.S. adults plan watch the big game.
103.5 million people plan to throw or attend a party, and another 17.8 million plan to watch the game at a bar or restaurant.
Total spending on food, drinks, apparel, decorations and other purchases for the day is expected to reach $16.5 billion, or $85.36 per person.
